It's illegal and immoral. But if you aren't afraid of jail, have no morals, and don't believe in an afterlife, well, what comes around, goes around.
Have at it. Just be aware that there are professionals that investigate every claim for something fishy. You may get paid, but then you may also end up doing jail time. Insurance fraud is not treated with kindness.
That like asking if it's wrong to hold up a gas station...the answer is the same. Put your energy into something productive and not destructive. You'll be happier by staying out jail and not become your cellmate's girlfriend.
You'll find out how bad it is when you get caught. You're a fool if you think you can get away with it.
