I just had a new baby girl and I am home on maternity leave now, but getting ready to return to work. My husband and I both want me to be able to stay home with our daughter, but financially this would be very hard. I have been looking for a legitimate company where I can make money from home. Yet all I am finding are WAH scams and crazy investments. Please, if you know of a real opportunity, share the wealth...

I too have a 5 month old baby boy and have been tearing my hair out trying to find a work at home "genuine" opportunity since I found out I was pregnant.
This is what I found after numerous investments in scams this company is legitamate. They don't promise anything but how to market online including training and a platform to get you started. There is a one month trial.

Yes there are, I worked from home as a rep for Comcast cable, they offered home work for the call center agents, they set me up with data feed and phone line in the house,
I have also hired a virtual assistant, she works out of her house as she has kids, she does all my typing, filing, manages my database, faxes and mailings.
There are lots of companies out there that have people working out of their own homes, with the cost of setting up large centers or office space having people work from home can save money.
Be wary of the ones that promise thousands of dollars a week, never spend or send any money for a job.
A lot of sales jobs involve working from home, you may need to go out on occasion to visit clients, but my father did that my entire life at home, he was home everyday, and out of Fridays (he said making sales calls, but I know he was golfing or at the bar)
He had an office and a phone, spent the entire day calling people and he made really good money.

Home daycare. Check the rules in your state and start small. For example, in my state, I can watch up to 5 unrelated kids without needing a license. If I wanted to go for a license I could, but I don't ever want to watch more than 5 kids anyways! You could start watching a couple of children and then if you want to watch above the minimum, get your license. It is not that difficult. This is the best way to stay home with your children and still make money, plus your child has playmates during the day. It can be stressful at times though! Another idea to making some extra money is direct sales. I just signed up to sell Usborne Children's books and Thirty One Gifts. I plan on selling the books through school book fairs and the purses and bags to friends and family and other contacts I get through selling usborne. Well there are good enough opportunities to earn money online.
Try some good PTC, Freelancing, Surveys and article writing sites. Also you can start your blog to earn money.
But, never pay any one any money to get work from home jobs.

I know of a few, but you need to have a degree (B.A.) and spend 6 months in the office training for the job before telecommuting from home.
If they don't call you in for office training for a few months, its a scam. If they ask for money up front, its a scam.
