Is it hard to get an internship position in one of the big 4 companies?

I'm a second year student at UCSB, but I plan to graduate in three years, and next quarter my class level will be "junior." i don't have any work experience, only some volunteer activities. my overall GPA is 3.91. I know that they come to my campus to recruit, but i really have no confidence in my resume because of the weak experience section. i took summer classes in the summer, but i was communiting (1 hour to drive from home to school), so i didn't work or intern anywhere. how are the chances of getting accepted as an intern for the coming summer? the internship application process starts next quarter. how should i prepare and stuff? I plan to go to my campus career service but i don't even know what to tell or ask them!! T_T.... i just feel like a retarded person with a high GPA but has no life. thanks a lot.

It is very competitive but your GPA is great - you should be proud. You still have time so don't sweat it for now. You will eventually get hired as an intern, just keep in touch with friends and try to develop some business contacts. Good luck.
