Question about credit???????

Lets say if i had a local bank and i had good credit with them but then i moved out of stats and so switched to a bigger bank for i.e BOA. Will i have to start my credit all over or do they got that stuff on my record or something?

If you're local bank reported your credit history; then you won't have to start over. Your credit is tracked by three agencies: TransUnion, Experian, and EquiFax. Whenever you apply for a loan or credit card, they will contact one of these three companies to retrieve your credit score. This includes your former bank and Bank of America.

Your credit report is yours, not your bank's. It basically shows your financial relationship with anyone you've ever had an account with or borrowed from. So it will show that you had an account with a local bank and was in good standing with them. If you open an account somewhere else, it will show that too.

Depends.
Did you have a credit card with the old bank - credit cards go on credit report -and stay on reports.

Did you just have a checking and a savings account?
That does not develop one drop of credit.

Your credit is not through your bank. Your bank just provides credit information to the 3 large credit bureau's, as many other businesses do. You can check your credit report directly through the websits via Experion, or free credit report.com

Your credit is not affected by where you bank, so relax.

your credit rating is yours to keep. it will all transfer
